Nestled in the heart of the North York Moors National Park, Abbey Farm Cottage offers a peaceful, relaxing, comfortable accommodation surrounded by nature.
You can choose from different places to stay. We have two cosy shepherd huts and a one-bedroom cottage. Each has its own private wood-fired hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
Abbey Farm Cottage is a working goat farm, so you’ll get the opportunity to meet our friendly herd of goats, adding a touch of charm to your stay. This place is a haven for those seeking tranquillity, with the stunning dark skies above creating the perfect backdrop for stargazing.

Rosedale was once a hub for iron ore mining, but this picturesque village is now a peaceful haven surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and brimming with popular destinations to explore.
Abbey Farm Cottage is perfectly placed to enjoy the many scenic walking trails, where stunning moorland vistas await.
Enjoy a leisurely 3 minute stroll to the local pub for a warm welcome and a delicious meal, or take a short drive to the nearby Market town of Pickering for a charming lunch before boarding the iconic North York Moors Steam Railway.
Rosedale’s central location makes it an ideal base for exploring Yorkshire’s treasures. Within a short drive, you’ll find the coastal gems of Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay, Scarborough, Saltburn by Sea and Runswick Bay to the east, while Pickering, and York lie to the south. To the west, the market towns of Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley offer history and charm, and to the north, you can venture further to Newcastle.

Robin’s Rest
Robin’s Rest is a delightful two-berth heated shepherd’s hut, offering a cosy and peaceful escape. Just next to Robin’s Rest is The Hide, a fully equipped glamping kitchen with all the essentials, including a toaster, kettle, induction hob, fridge, heater, pans, crockery, and a dining table – perfect for enjoying meals together. The private shower room, located at the back of the farmhouse, features a spacious walk-in shower, WC, basin, and a heated towel rail for added comfort.

Willows
Hop into the enchanting world of Willows, a beautifully decorated, Wind in the Willows themed shepherd’s hut tucked away behind a willow hedge. Perfectly heated and designed to sleep up to four i two double beds , Willows offers a cosy retreat complete with a charming log burner to keep you snug. Its picturesque location boasts views over a small duck pond, creating a tranquil and idyllic setting for your countryside escape.
The private patio garden is ideal for outdoor relaxation, featuring a BBQ, a fire pit, and a luxurious wood-fired hot tub – perfect for stargazing or unwinding after a day of exploring. There’s also a picnic table, ideal for outdoor meals with a view.
Alongside Willows is Toad Hall, a fully equipped glamping kitchen providing all the essentials, including a fridge, toaster, kettle, induction hob, heater, pans, and crockery, ensuring you have everything needed for a comfortable stay. Inside the hut, there’s a dining table for four, perfect for enjoying your meals in a cosy setting.
Your private shower room is located in the adjoining barn and features a spacious walk-in shower, WC, basin, and a heated towel rail for added convenience.

Hootsman
